Step Ahead Program

Children, youth and their families come to big cities in Vietnam to earn better income but many of them end up homeless.  To help homeless people, especially children and youth, Blue Dragon has been implementing the Step Ahead Program in Hanoi since 2004. Step Ahead provides comprehensive, individualized support for homeless youth, ranging from street outreach,  short term shelter, to long term case management that provides trauma informed care, health and mental health support, life and careers skill development to help them get off the streets, reunite with their families where appropriate and build positive futures. We seek support to scale up the program in Hanoi and replicate it to Ho Chi Minh city to help more children and youth in need.
