Instiglio works to improve social outcomes by strengthening how social programs are designed, funded, and delivered. The organization focuses on closing a persistent gap in the social sector: too often, funding is disconnected from real-world results. Through results-based financing, performance management, and close collaboration with governments and development partners, Instiglio helps build stronger systems, improve accountability, and ensure that social investments are tied more directly to meaningful, measurable impact. Central to this work is partnering with public institutions and changemakers to strengthen delivery capacity and support lasting systems change.

With support from the Citi Foundation, Instiglio is advancing a youth employment project in Costa Rica that aims to improve how young people access and transition into quality jobs, especially in sectors with strong growth potential such as advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and services. The project pilots results-based financing models that better align training with labor market demand and incentivize outcomes like job placement and retention. By working closely with public institutions, training providers, and private sector actors, the initiative is designed to expand access to relevant, demand-driven training pathways particularly for young people facing greater barriers to employment while generating practical evidence that can help Costa Rica strengthen and scale more effective, outcome-oriented employment policies over time.
